“Rehne do didi , aapne box khareed diya , yehi bahut hai …main abhi ek do ghante mein 50
“Naam kya hai tumhara?”
“Bunty….”
Thousands of "bunties" are roaming the streets , asking people for money . I might have interacted with 50 odd "bunties" on various signals and roads all over the city and after a few inquiries about whether they would want to work , or whether their parents are working etc , they move on to other prospective “givers” .The word “Work” seems to be a big repellent .And begging seems to be a comfy –cushy job . And signals seem to provide enough entertainment .
What more could you want !!
But today something different happened. A bunty actually wanted to work. Already had collected stuff to start working, already had chosen a spot to work, and charted out what else was needed to put the plan to action. And when finally offered the meal for which he was begging, actually refused any more help and wanted to earn his dinner.
Amazing !!!!
Bunty , If you had an orkut profile , I would have marked myself a “Fan” , sent a friend request . At 12 you have more courage than thousands of your brothers and sisters. More conviction and planning than even grown-ups.
As I was returning home, I wanted to meet bunty again, maybe be friends ……
But i'm leaving it to another such chance meeting.........................................
Quoting Richard Bach
“And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes,
is certain for those who are friends."
Adieu till then.

And trust you, Lasha, to have found Bunty. How many of us would have bothered to listen and discovered authentic Bunties on the street? Most of us would ignore them abuse them or give them loose change and forgotten all about them. Stand up and take a bow :)
great one ... actually if we all do our small part, its going to make few differences in life ... the bigger one
