The moment

Bon voyage she wished him,
And held out her hand
Just on a whim.

He took it, casually, in his own,
She stood there bound
By ties unknown.

The time stopped, moment stayed
There they stood
United, as emotions played.

Like one become, day & night
When light meets dark
At twilight,

Then dusk passes, at last
With the truth, ‘twas just a moment
And has already passed.

Curtain of dusk fell on their eyes,
Hands parted, day & night
Moved to their own skies.
